Do I have Intuition?

Over thousands of years, we have been conditioned to suppress our intuitive abilities. Intuition is a natural gift we all have and can be an invaluable tool to navigating through a chaotic world. The more you attune to this extra sense, the faster the path to self healing and personal growth.

What is Intuition?

To understanding intuition, you must first to understand that every living thing is made up of matter and energy. Each person has their own personal energy field, often called an aura. This energy, combined with our consciousness is what makes up our being. It is what makes us who we are beyond just our genetic makeup!

  • Have you ever had someone walk past you and you get a shiver?

  • Ever been around someone that always has a calming effect on you?

  • Ever been around someone who drains you?

This is because their energy field is influencing or overlapping with your own. Some people exude very strong energy that can be felt throughout a room. Others have their energy closer to their physical body. But we all have an energy field!

Intuition is simply your senses picking up and reading the energy around you and translating it into insight about things not inherently obvious.

Does Intuition Work with only People Nearby?

No! Intuition can span beyond your physical surroundings or those people in close proximity to you.

Have you ever been thinking about someone and they suddenly call you?

This is because our thoughts create energetic connections that can span far beyond our physical space. Our thoughts operate a lot like a phone call…when you think about someone, you are making an energetic connection, and you can pick up on their feelings from a distance. These connections work both ways, influencing energies of both persons in both directions!

However, we have not been trained how to release or “hang up” these connections, so often we can be exhausted at the end of the day as our bodies are picking up on a lot more information that we can immediately perceive, and we are tapping into others energy inadvertently.

How Does Intuition Work?

Many people sense energy through one of their primary senses (hearing, smell, taste, touch, sight). Additionally, we have a sixth sense, which is our ability to pick up on energy around us like a tuning fork.

Scientists have learned that humans have many more senses than 5 primary senses, such as chrono-perception (the passing of time), pain sensors, temperature sensation, spacial awareness, and equilibrium. As we learn more about animals, such as rats ability to manipulate matter through their pheromone senses as recently discovered by scientists, it is worth setting aside belief that science has discovered all human, plant and animal sensory capabilities given the increasing rate of discoveries within modern science.

Examples of primary sense responses to energy include

  • Touch - getting shivers you can't explain, goosebumps, unexpected twinges or pains. Some people even get feelings or flashes of insight by touching objects

  • Smell - wrinkling your nose at a situation, smelling something not in the immediate vicinity, picking up a smell that reminds you of something that soon becomes relevant. Sense of smell in one of the strongest links to memory recall which can be that sense trying to notify you of a similar relevant situation. A common term is “something doesn't smell right about that”

  • Taste - something “leaving a bad taste in your mouth”, salivating, tasting something that recalls a memory that becomes relevant, or having a sudden craving

  • Sight - something catching your eye that recalls a memory or an image that when interpreted will give clues to what is going on. Images popping in your head, but you dont know why. We will cover how to interpret these images and eye catching moments

  • Hearing - the little “voice” in your head (no you aren't crazy), words that pop in your head, phrases or words that jump off the page, phrases or jingles or songs that stick with you

  • Chronoperception- feeling of dejavu, that you have lived a given moment before, often combined with a feeling of imbalance in you equilibrium

  • Temperature - like the old saying “you could feel the temperature drop in the room” when something tense happens

  • Equilibrium- feeling “the scales tip”, things are “topsy-turvy”, or a general sense of a change in equilibrium indicating your are sensing a dramatic shift in the flow of energy and a change in future outcomes

  • 6th sense - this is a sense that picks up the signals not only from our other senses but also from the world around us that is most closely linked to intuition. You can think of it as your energy sensing the energy of other things, places, or persons like a tuning fork

Why Don’t I Understand My Intuition?

Unlike the movies where psychics receive guidance spoken to them like some sort of prophecy, most peoples intuition is interpreted by our sub-conscious mind. And like the language of dreams, our sub-conscious mind uses the right side of our brain, which speaks in images and colors, unlike the left side of the brain, which uses words and patterns.

You can be highly intuitive and not know it! Learn how to unlock these sub-conscious messages!
