“I’m focusing on healing lives and teaching people that they can heal; giving them tools to heal.” - Iyanla Vanzant

My story begins with generational trauma, I was young woman running from healing because I was the product of generations of individuals that pushed through.  Stories are important, it is something that connects all of us as individuals, I believe that our stories define parts of our life’s journey, but they do not define us.  My earliest memories are of me building connections just being an intuitive listener, I found that people were naturally drawn to my quiet, curious, and inviting nature.  I have always believed that community is important, and it requires us to learn to embrace our vulnerabilities.  As I got older, I realized that I needed something more and I kept trying to fill the void with purpose driven career aspirations but felt unfulfilled. My story of healing brought me into the therapeutic space in ways that I never imagined.  As I began to pursue my studies in marriage and family therapy, I realized that I had a lot of unhealed territory that I needed to explore to serve my clients effectively.

As I began my work towards rewriting my story as one of victory instead of defeat, I learned the power of sitting with others.  When I entered the therapy room, I realized that I would have to embrace the awareness that comes with change.  As I sat across from my therapist, I understood what it truly meant to be vulnerable in ways that would cause me to grow into the therapist that the person, there sitting in my chair needed to help her navigate the pages of her story.  I began a journey that required me to embrace all my gifts and share them with others.  I firmly believe that psychoeducation is the core to building & sustaining healthy lifestyles.  In my work with children, I create an empowering, artistic, and informative atmosphere that allows children to tell their stories through therapeutic play.  I seek to help people grow from their core through self-awareness and greater insight into their strengths and challenges.  I believe in the importance of individuals seeing themselves as a whole being accepting, embracing, and owning their journey.  Everyone already has the tools they need to live a healthy and balanced life, they just need guidance to tap into them.

My ultimate goal is to help people explore their true narrative through trauma informed care, honesty, empathetic listening, transparency, mindfulness, mindset support, yogic principles and transitional awareness.
